Bushra Jamil has over 25 years’ experience working in training and employment. This has entailed extensive research, analysis and formulation of economic growth policies; commissioning and project management of schemes (£2m to £5m per annum); business development, including marketing of training provision; supporting the delivery of a Government pathfinder project (£12m) in collaboration with internal and external agencies to improve training and employment outcomes for the residents of Greater Manchester; working nationally with Government Departments to develop new policies on skills, employment, including careers provision to ensure these meet the current and future needs of employers.
Bushra has served on Parrs Wood High School Governing Body from 2011 – 2016. During this time she has been an active member on the Governing Body and a range of Committees, including Resource Management, Standards and Curriculum, Head Teacher Appraisal and Pay.
Additionally, Bushra has lived in the area for over 25 years. She has a strong commitment to the local community and to improve educational outcomes for all schools in the MAT.
