Louise has over 15 years’ experience in the field of educational finance. She has held a number of roles, providing financial advice and support to a range of schools in a variety of contexts. Louise held the role of Education Finance Officer with the local authority for a number of years before becoming Finance Manager in a single Academy Trust. She qualified as an ACCA Accountant in 2006 and was appointed as Business and Finance Director for that trust. Here she established a business management partnership, providing business and finance services to schools across the local authority. Louise has worked closely with the National College for Teaching & Leadership as regional business manager advocate and partnership adviser, promoting school business management collaborations across the North West. She has significant experience in managing large schools and trust budgets and ensuring the effective financial performance of those organisations against the background of reductions in real-terms funding to schools.
Louise holds an advanced diploma in education business management and a postgraduate qualification in educational leadership. In 2014 she became Strategic Director of Finance and Corporate Services at Manchester Health Academy, overseeing significant expansion projects and providing support, in her role as SLE, to numerous organisations experiencing financial issues. Louise is also an accredited Schools Resource Management Advisor with the Education & Skills Funding Agency.
