The leadership and school improvement positions that I have held have developed my ability to think strategically and work with colleagues and schools to map out a clear pathway of actions. I know how best to measure and evaluate the impact of actions, and to adapt plans along the way when actions are not having enough, or the desired, impact. I have been involved in the recruitment and induction of new staff (including Head teacher recruitment) as a Primary school governor and as Deputy Head (DHT). We moved from a split site EYFS/Infant/Junior school into a newly built Primary school when I was DHT. In addition to the regular support work that went into this move, I also supported the EYFS lead to amalgamate four Nursery and Reception classes into a 135 place EYFS unit. Additionally, I was responsible for planning, ordering and managing the new building’s IT equipment.
